Sponsifyme: A Startup Bridging the Discovery Gap Between Events and Sponsors/Brands

The most time consuming and difficult task for any event organiser is to find relevant sponsors. Similarly, brands also have a tough time finding the right event with the right target audience and reach. In order to bridge the gap and solve the problems of both these segments, Sponsifyme came into being.

Founded in April 2015, Sponsifyme is an online platform, which enables brands to globally identify and spend on events & experiential marketing opportunities to engage with potential customers directly.

sponsifymeThe platform was created by Nitin Bajaj, Shreya Ratra and Gourav Kaila, which now has six full time employees. Nitin has 4 years of work experience in sales & marketing prior doing Masters from IIT Delhi, Shreya has 5 months of work experience with PWC India, while Gourav Kaila, has a work experience of 5 years with United Health Group in product development.

It connects brands with event organisers through an algorithm based on the demographic data of audience, geography targets of brands and marketing budgets of brands. The portal makes event organisers and brands sign up with details like target age group of their target audience, gender, profile, sponsorship offered type- cash/kind and the website compares both to find the right match for both.

How it all started?

Nitin & Shreyaa were earlier running their venture called -an on demand beauty service delivery marketplace. As a startup they were trying to identify right target customers whom they can engage early and who can become their brand ambassadors. But because of limited money they could not do cash sponsorships in events and while they were studying at IIT Delhi they organized plenty of events where they were chasing sponsors. Hence they decided to start in order to bridge this gap between marketers and event organizers. is first such platform that connects brands with events online by matching the brand preferences. There are global companies like (funded by Google for ventures) and Indian company named but the platform does not provide opportunity for connecting the brands and events. Event organizers cannot see brand profiles listed and cannot send emails to their prospective brands but at they can.

What is the current traction?

We have close to 300 brands listed with us. UBER, OLA Cabs, Jugnoo Auto, CashKaro, DishTV, Ebay India, UCB, Spunk, Zee Cinemas are few of the brands. Our event portfolio includes several famous events like Miss India Worldwide India, ZIRO Music festival, Chalk N Duster (In Movie branding- upcoming movie), SKY Fest, Heartwork Tatoo festival. Having these brands and events clearly justifies that the demand is present. We have completed 150 transactions in 3 months of timeframe and 35 lakh of gross sponsorship value has been raised through our platform so far.

Our website provides a seamless experience to brand managers for finding best suited events for their experiential marketing needs. Brand managers can chat with event organizer directly, review stats of events such as offline, online reach, footfall data and sponsorship packages. Event organizers can utilize the platform for connecting with best brands relevant for their event needs. They can send mailers to them that go directly to brand manager. Brand managers also get virtual call number which they can use for telephonic discussions with event organizers and can block any organizer who spam them hence giving complete privacy to marketers, adds Nitin. is now a part of Business World Accelerate Program Batch 2 and the team is being mentored by Utsav Somani – An active angel investor and involved in his family business while leading the Delhi Chapter for LetsVenture. His portfolio companies are – Testbook, AdpushUp, LogiNext, Zippr, DoorMint, Qustn, FabBag and Shephertz .
