Matrimony Buys Matchify & Present It’s New Features

Matrimony.com leading matrimony sites has recently acquired Bangalore-based dating app, Matchify.

Matchify is a dating app specially designed for women that helps find likeminded people looking for serious and meaningful relationships together. You can ‘Like’ members you are interested in & get matchified with someone special.

The new app has inbuilt safety features including mobile verification, photo screening, relationship status check and the ability to report or block a user.wpid-wp-1428601272594

Saichithra, Business Head, Matchify.in, said that the company launched the app to address the growing need of young Indians for meaningful relationships matching their interests and near their current location. She added that Matchify is a robust and secure platform for like-minded people that too available on mobile, that makes it interesting.

The new mobile app is currently on the Google play store and is soon coming on other platforms.

Matrimony.com, also known for its Bharatmatrimony.com website was founded in the year 1997. The company in its initial days got backed up by Draper International which still holds stakes in the company. Canaan Partners, Mayfield and Bessemer Venture Partners are some other investors of the firm.

Major rival for Matrimony.com is Shaadi.com that recently bought about 25 per cent stake in Delhi-based dating applications maker Thrill in a deal valued at close to $1 million.
