Flipkart subsidiary Myntra has acquired logistics start-up InLogg. The acquisition will strengthen the supply chain capabilities. Myntra announced the acquisition of InLogg on Wednesday.

Inlogg will help to solve delivery inefficiencies in terms of cost and reach, according to a media report.

Founded by former Flipkart employees Preeti Jain, Hemant Agrawal and Prateek Gautam in 2015, InLogg is an aggregator of logistics vendors providing services to ecommerce and retail companies.

The mobile-app based pickup and delivery solution enables vendors to manage pickups and deliveries in a frictionless way, maintaining visibility at every step.

Analytics and graphical dashboards help vendors monitor performance and take data driven decisions.

It joins hands with courier firms in tier II and III towns to enable delivery services in remote areas.

As part of the deal, InLogg team has been inducted into Myntra. The two-year-old startup was clocking about 3,000 deliveries a day through its partnerships with about 20 local and regional logistics partners.

“We were already doing some business with them but now it will allow us to leverage their reach to enhance our own. While we would see delivery costs going down with InLogg, the time frame to deliver to pincodes in north-east and other remote parts will also see a reduction,” Tripathi said as per publsihed in Times of India.
