Just after raising $10 million about six months ago, interior design startup Homelane has managed to bag a $3.5 million from Brand Capital, the strategic investment arm of the media giant Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd. BCCL publishes The Times of India newspapers and operates several news channels and websites.
Homelane operates in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Mumbai. It offers personalized design service to all their customers at no extra cost where their experienced panel of interior designers work with them to customize designs for their house. Homelane also offers a 45-day installation guarantee.
Homelane was founded in 2014 by Srikanth Iyer, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer along with the husband-wife duo of Krishnan Ganesh and Meena Ganesh.
With the given investment, the company aims to double its centres by the end of this year. Its chief investors include Accel Partners, Singapore’s RB Investments, and Sequoia Capital.
According to CEO Srikanth Iyer, “Homelane is the place where design, functionality and cutting-edge technology meet to give homeowners a stress-free home designing process for all your interior needs. The startup claims to have worked on more than 2500 projects till this date.”
Presently, Homelane faces a stiff competition in the market from its likes like UrbanClap, Pepperfry, and Amazon.
