How Clicktable problem-solving approach aims to ease concerns of hospitality industry

Over the years the restaurant industry has redefined food, ambience, service and delivery standards by creating unique experiences from uber cool to ultra-sophisticated.

But there is one area where restaurants still struggle to match up to their reputation and that is efficient front desk management. The three key elements – reservations, waitlists and guestbook are managed either manually or using archaic systems, which generally results in customer dissatisfaction regardless of in-restaurant experience.

It bridges the communication gap between restaurants and customers for a smoother dining experience right from the customer’s thought of dining! Founded by Varun Gupta, clicktable cloud based application streamlines reservation & waitlist management for restaurants and also facilitates real-time table reservations for diners.

The product is built into two applications, a restaurant facing side called the Empower App and the consumer facing side called the Reserve App. The Empower application is targeted towards casual and fine dining restaurants and it manages various front desk tasks like reservations, waitlists, table management, and events & offers. Reserve application is a restaurant discovery cum table booking app for diners.

analyseTheir restaurant facing app, Empower, was launched in Delhi-NCR market in Nov 2015. Since then, it has been adopted by over 200 restaurants as it optimizes table inventory and manage front desk, reservations & walk-ins through a single window in a more efficient way. The app has inbuilt CRM for managing complete diner history, preferences, contact details and analytics. Another feature of app also lets you manage & promote events & offers. The consumer facing app, Reserve, will launch in the second quarter of 2016, starting with Delhi-NCR.

guestbookNoida based startup’s target set of restaurants are those where cost for two is greater that INR 1000. As per their estimate, there are more than 5000+ such restaurants spread across major cities in India. They have recently put together teams in Bengaluru and Mumbai to start with their B2B offerings in these markets very soon.

Table reservation service is still at a nascent stage in India and there are many companies, both established and startups, who are trying to create a presence in table reservation market. However, Dineout is a clear leader in this field since they have been doing the same for over 3 yrs now. Zomato too has recently launched a table booking product called Book.
