CanvasFlip Solutions, Bangaluru based app prototyping firm, has raised $1.2 million in seed round from Silicon valley based investment firm Bessemer Venture Partners. Canvasflip team is planning to set up an office in California to explore the global market and will also expand its product and marketing team in India.
CanvasFlip, founded by 26-yearold serial entrepreneurs Vipul Mishra and Manish Jha, offers a DIY prototyping and usability testing platform where product managers or a user experience team can validate their app ideas, flow and user experience without writing a single line of code.
“It’s great to have the support of one of the world’s largest internet venture funds. This is more than financial backing. Even before this investment, Raghav and his team has been helping us to evolve the product and business model. We really share the vision of CanvasFlip solving major pain-points in the UX space,” said CanvasFlip Cofounder & CEO Vipul Mishra.
Raghav Bahl, vice-president at Bessemer Venture said that one of the reasons his firm chose to invest in CanvasFlip is because it helps product managers reduce the time taken to bring the application to market and also save on expensive development resources.
“It is not news that design is playing an increasingly important role in the success of a mobile application. CanvasFlip enables product managers to validate mobile application design by providing rich and conclusive usage feedback from the target user segment,” he added.
