Ekart’s VP Neeraj Aggarwal has moved out of the company, people aware of the development said. His exit marks one more senior position in Ekart falling vacant after the e-tailer’s COO Nitin Seth, who was heading the logistics vertical left the online retailer abruptly Tuesday according to TOI.
The reports also confirmed that Aggarwal has joined the SoftBank-backed cab aggregator Ola as its head of driver engagement and incentive planning.
According to reports Flipkart’s chief learning officer Stefaan van Hooydonk has also quit the Flipkart following Nitin Seth and Neeraj Aggarwal.
This has now left Kalyan Krishnamurthy in charge of all the major operations of the company. Also, reportedly Aggarwal had put in the papers even before Seth had quit. Krishnamurthy had already taken over the HR department last week. He has the reigns of all the major portfolios of HR and finance, with CFO Sriram Venkataraman also reporting directly to him. One of the sources says,
Kalyan Krishnamurthy has all the major divisions reporting to him now and losing executives from the second layer of management at this juncture could be a tough task to manage.
OLA and Flipkart are yet to comment on the issue.
These resignations come at a time when Flipkart is in talks with rival Snapdeal for a buyout. Last week, Flipkart signed the term sheet for the merger and will soon be conducting due diligence.Jasper Infotech Pvt Ltd, which runs Snapdeal, also saw senior executives leaving the firm in the past few days.
